Purchased from a Sydney seller, sight unseen, this bike required significant work to restore it to concourse standards. The previous owner did an all over paint job, including to the nuts and bolts, in Alpine White, so the first job was to strip it completely and assess for correct specification and evidence of wear.
Various major components were replaced including cylinders, drive shaft, exhaust system, electrical system and complete rear guard. And rather than return it to its original colour black, Martin instead opted for an original BMW Dover White. This transformed its aesthetic, and vintage appeal, and made it a firm favourite with friends of BMWerks.
Upon completion, the bike was sold to Lenny in Western Australia, adding to his extensive bike collection. Lenny continues to turn heads with this Dover White beauty which recently launched its modelling career, featuring in a national advertising campaign for M.J. Bale.
